GroupMe combines group chat with SMS messaging.  Setup instant groups of friends, family or co-workers to get group broadcast SMS messages on any US based cell phone. You can be in multiple groups, where each group is centered on a unique phone number assigned by GroupMe.  Anyone in the group can txt to that phone number, and everyone will get the txt prefixed with the sender’s name.  Multiple GroupMe phone numbers can be used to have different groups or different topics.  Any US phone can be a member of one or more groups.
